Hello! We are Tomi and Ro from Viaja con Apina💛🐝
We strongly believe that a trip is much more enjoyable when you know the history and importance of what is being seen.
That's why we created Viaja con Apina. To share these stories with all those travelers who, like us, want to have fun while walk and learn about their next destination.
How it all started
Our story begins in 2010 in Buenos Aires when we met in high school, became a couple and began this unique journey.
After several trips we got engaged in 2016 in Parc 21 Juillet in Brussels (the cover photo of this section).
In November 2017 we got married and in 2021 we made the decision to move to Madrid where we have resided ever since.
We welcomed the year 2023 in Rome, where we had spent our honeymoon five years ago.
It was on this trip that we decided to share our wanderlust through a project that helps other travelers to better understand what they have to know in each place.
Know who is behind Viaja con Apina
We already mentioned our names and a bit of our history together.
Now we want to tell you about each of us personally.
But...
who is Apina?
For our visit to Rome 2023, as in all our trips, Tomi prepared treasure hunts so that we have fun on the trip. Only this time it was going to be told by Apina, the caricature of my little bee earring.
It was a gift from my godmother when I was born, brought from Italy. When we were planning this trip we were talking about my earring going back to its "home", visiting their relatives, the three little bees of the Barberini emblem.
As a result of these riddles told by Apina, the idea of starting this project of Viaja con Apina, to help other travelers learn in a fun way what they have to know in each place they visit.
